What is the duration of the MBA Direct Second Year program?

The MBA Direct Second Year is a 1-year full-time program. Students directly enter the 2nd year of the standard 2-year MBA curriculum and complete their degree in one academic year comprising two semesters .

Candidates who hold a Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) AND have either:

  • Completed a PGDBA/PGDBM/PGDIM or equivalent postgraduate diploma in management from a recognized institution, OR
  • Possess valid credit transfer eligibility as per university norms, OR
  • Have relevant work experience (typically 1-2+ years in managerial/supervisory roles) .

Admission is primarily based on merit in graduation followed by a personal interview. However, a valid score in MAH CET, CAT, MAT, XAT, or CMAT is highly recommended and strengthens your application. The university does not accept direct admission without meeting the eligibility criteria .

Work experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates without work experience but with a relevant postgraduate diploma in management (PGDBA/PGDBM) may also be considered for lateral entry as per university norms.
