About Course

The M. Pharmacy (Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance) programme is a two-year postgraduate course divided into four semesters, designed to provide advanced knowledge and specialized expertise in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. This programme builds upon the foundational concepts of pharmacy and focuses on in-depth understanding of Pharmaceutical Analytical Development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient & Formulations, research methodologies, and clinical applications. It equips students with scientific, analytical, and research-oriented skills essential for higher-level roles in academia, industry, research, and healthcare sectors.

This programme focuses on innovation, Pharmaceutical Analytical Equipment’s, Quality Assurance, and quality control. Students develop the ability to design research studies, analyse data, publish scientific findings, and contribute to advancements in pharmaceutical sciences. With exposure to industrial visits, practical training, and real-time research environments, the M. Pharm course prepares students to become competent researchers, academicians, formulation scientists, regulatory professionals, and leaders in holistic pharmaceutical care.This 2-year M. Course Structure

The course of study for M.Pharm shall extend over a period of four semesters (two academic years) .The curricula and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, shall prescribe syllabi for the program from time to time

The course of study for M. Pharm shall include Semester Wise Theory & Practical. The Master of Pharmacy leading to the Degree of Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) shall consist of:

  • Such courses (Papers) as prescribed by the Academic Council of the University & Pharmacy Council of India.
  • Such a job internship, lab work, practical, Industrial training, projects etc. as may be prescribed by the academic Council of the University and PCI.
  • Such scheme of examination as prescribed, by the Academic Council of the University & PCI from time to time.

The course curriculum of each course shall be approved by the concerned Board of Studies and the academic Council of the University.

Eligibility

Students who have a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) degree from a PCI/AICTE-recognized institution with a minimum aggregate score of 50% for categories and 55% for OPEN categories.

Admission Procedure

The University will issue admission notifications regarding Raisoni University Common Entrance Test (RUCET) in the newspapers, University's website, the University's notice board, and other publicity media before the starting of the academic year. This entrance examination is mandatory for admission. However, candidates who have appeared for government recognised entrance examination are also eligible as per the university guidelines

List of candidates provisionally selected for admission / shortlisted based on merit will be displayed on the notice board of the University/University's website/ or the students will be informed directly of their admission after the last date of application.

The candidates whose results of the qualifying exams are awaited can also apply. They are admitted provisionally. Such candidates, however, must produce the previous year mark sheet /School/College certificates as proof for required eligibility criteria before the due date failing which, the provisional admission cannot be granted. The admitted candidate shall have to present the mark sheet of the qualifying examination within a month of the due date of entry, failing which the provisional admission shall be cancelled.

If a candidate admitted provisionally under (d) above could not obtain the marks to fulfil the requirements & eligibility criteria of the admission, the provisional admission granted to him will be cancelled,

The application form may be rejected for any of the following reasons:

  • The candidate does not fulfil the eligibility conditions.
  • The prescribed fee is not enclosed.
  • The application form is not signed by the candidate and their parent guardian, wherever required.
  • Supporting documents for admission are not enclosed.

  • The University will assign enrolment / Registration number to the student after verification & submission of all the necessary documents/fees.
  • Admission rules as framed by the University shall be applicable for all admissions from time to time.
