Bachelor of Pharmacy 4 Year is a 4-year undergraduate course. B.Pharma Course consists of 8 semesters and includes all the core subjects of Pharmacy. This programme is designed to introduce the Properties and Impacts of Pharmaceutical drugs to students. This programme trains students to counsel patients about the proper use of drugs as well as medication. Mainly students will get to learn about Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy etc.

This course focuses on human anatomy, medication and drug dosage, drug action, effects and reactions. Students gain in-depth knowledge of active ingredients which are in use to make drugs. One learns to maintain the drug's quality in storage. In addition, this course trains students to be industry-ready when they participate in Holistic Pharmaceutical care in a real-life work setting. Plenty of industrial visits and practical sessions provide students with a lot of experience on real-life situations. This 4-year Bachelor of Pharmacy 4 Year course has an intake of 60 seats.

Course Structure

The course of study for B.Pharm shall extend over a period of eight semesters (four academic years) and six semesters (three academic years) for lateral entry students. The curricula and syllabi for the program shall be prescribed from time to time by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

The course of study for B. Pharm shall include Semester Wise Theory & Practical. The Bachelor of Pharmacy leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) shall consist of:

  • Such courses (Papers) as prescribed by the Academic Council of the University & Pharmacy Council of India.
  • Such a job internship, lab work, practical, Industrial training, projects etc. as may be prescribed by the academic Council of the University and PCI.
  • Such scheme of examination as prescribed, by the Academic Council of the University & PCI from time to time.

The course curriculum of each course shall be approved by the concerned Board of Studies and the academic Council of the University.

Eligibility

Students who have graduated 12th board examinations are eligible for applying for this course. They should have taken chemistry, Physics, Maths/Biology and scored 45% of minimum percentage ( for the open category) and 40% for the reserved category to be eligible for the B.Pharm Course.

Admission Procedure

  • Before starting every admission cycle, the University issues a notification on the University website, notice board and other public domains like newspapers, etc.
  • After the last date of application is over, a list of shortlisted students is put up on the University website, notice board, or the students are informed directly about their admission.
  • You are eligible to apply even if you’re awaiting the results of your qualifying examination(s). Such candidates are offered provisional admissions and have to submit their previous years’ mark sheet to confirm that they fall into the eligibility criteria. You must submit your mark sheet before the due date of applying for admissions. Once the provisional admission is approved, the candidate will have one month to provide the mark sheet for the qualifying examination. Subsequently, failing to do so will result in the cancellation of provisional admission.
  • If a candidate is granted provisional admission under the above-mentioned conditions and the said candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria or has failed to obtain the required marks. In that case, the provisional admission is cancelled.
  • An application form is rejected for the following reasons:
    1. The candidate fails to fulfil the eligibility criteria provided by the University.
    2. The admission is cancelled if the candidate fails to enclose the prescribed fee.
    3. Provisional admission is cancelled if the application form does not contain the signature of the candidate and their parents/guardian, wherever applicable.
    4. The candidate fails to submit the supporting documents in time for admission
  • After submitting all the necessary documents and fees, the student will be assigned an enrollment number by the University.
  • Rules set by the University for the process of admission will be applicable from time to time.
