ILICAT stands for Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test, an admission test for
the candidates enrolling for LLM (One year course to complete a Master of Law.) The
application process will initiate in March-April, and the students may expect to
hear their results in June 2024.

ILICAT 2024 Application Form Details
The application form comes with eligibility criteria that every ILICAT aspirant must
remember. Once done with the basic eligibility inspection, they may move forward to fill
out the ILICAT application form.
The steps to complete the ILICAT application process are given below:
- Fill out the application form: The first step is to fill out the
application form by visiting their official website ili.ac.in. The form will require
basic
details such as personal information, contact information, preferred examination
center, etc.
- Upload the necessary documents: Documents include photographs and
the aspirant’s signature.
- Write/ Upload SoP: The students will be required to write or send
an SoP of a minimum of 2000 words to define their purpose.
- Pay the Fee: The fee for ILICAT 2020 is 2,500 Rs, which could be
paid by modes such as net banking or e-payment wallets.
- Submit the Form: ILICAT 2020 application process is entirely
online, and students are not required to engage with any part of the application
offline.
ILICAT Entrance Exam: Important Dates To Note
Right now, all dates related to ILICAT 2024 are tentative, as given below:
- Application process: February-March 23
- Exam Month: April-May 23
- Results: May-June 23
- Interview: June 23

Eligibility Criteria For ILICAT Entrance 2024
Following eligibility criteria any student must fit into before applying for ILICAT 2024:
- The candidate must be a Citizen of India.
- As ILICAT is an entrance test for a one-year Master of Law program, aspirants must
have an LLB degree with at least 50% marks. The candidate must graduate from a

- They could be of any age as the age restriction does not fall into this entrance
test.
ILICAT Entrance Exam Pattern
ILICAT 2020 is divided into three sections: English & General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude,
and the questions related to the Legal Aspect. The question format is given below:
- The general section comes with 40 questions and is considered the exam’s first part.
- The legal aptitude has 100 questions and is the second part of the exam.
- The final part is the questions related to the Legal aspects, which only have four
questions.
- The exam duration is 2 hours 30 minutes.
The exam has a negative marking scheme that differs according to thor parts. Refer to the
given format for details:
- In the first part of the ILICAT exam, the student gets a +1 for every correct
answer, and -¼ is deducted for every wrong one.
- The format of the second part is exactly like the first one.
- In the third part, there is no negative marking. However, the candidate can score up
to +10 marks with every correct answer.
The total number of questions, including Part one, Part two, and Part three, is 144, and
the total marks are 180.
ILICAT 2024 Exam Syllabus
As said, the ILICAT 2024 syllabus is divided into three parts. Part one consists of subjects
related to English and general knowledge, such as grammar, vocabulary, reading
comprehension, etc. The second part of the exam comprises topics such as Environmental Law,
Public International Law, Law of Torts, etc.
The third part comes with subjective questions related to legal aspects, and each one carries
ten marks.

When preparing for ILICAT, you must keep a few strategies in your mind to replace the winning
