Blood Donation Camp

G H Raisoni University organized a Blood Donation Camp on 28 February 2019 in the premises. Total 112 Volunteers, teaching and non-teaching faculty members donated their blood. Mr. Kishor Kedia PDG of Rotory club was the Chief Guest. Mr. Gajendra kakpure and Dr. Dhiredra Adtiya was the Guest of honour. Dean of School of Engineering & Technology,GHRUA presided over the programme. Chief Guest, Mr. Kedia, in his address, briefed the students the importance of Social Activities. Dr. Dhirendra also address the student, he said that blood donation is todays need. In today’s scenario thousands of liters of blood required for patients, this need can be fulfilled only by the blood donation therefore everyone should be donate blood at least once in life. Dean of School of Engineering & Technology,GHRU , in his presidential address, highlighted the importance of donating blood a needy patient. The intention of donating blood is to save one’s life and it should be voluntary donation. He briefed the health benefits after blood donation. He said that donating blood helps in discharging cholesterol stored in the heart and helps build immunity in the body.

Fire & Safety Awareness Training Workshop at Shree Vallabh Gases, MIDC,Amravati.

A workshop on Fire & Safety was conducted at Shree Vallabh Gases, Industrial Gas Supplier in Amravati for the workers & the employees on dated 28/08/2021. The workshop was organized by G H Raisoni University, Amravati.

During the workshop Mr. Vaibhav R. Kaner explained the Basic of Fire Science Causes of Fire, Classification of Fire, Extinguishing methods of fire, Fire extinguisher operation, etc. The training workshop the training for various aspects of fire conditions were explained. During such fire conditions how one can handle the pressure and act accordingly was very well explained. Mr. Vaibhav R. Kaner had given them the demos for such conditions as well as hands on practice to the workers.

Around 30 workers participated and benefited with this training. During the program Honourable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vinayak Deshpande and Dean (School of Engineering & Technology) Mr. Prashant Awachat also visited the site & had given important inputs. All the precautionary measures were taken amid COVID-19 pandemic. The whole program was conducted safely and smoothly.

The program was coordinated by Dr. Moin Deshmukh & Mr. Akshay B. Kadu.

Tree Plantation

Today the world is facing environmental problems, Global warming, ozone depletion and pollution are burning issues, solution to these problems lies in planting more trees. Keeping this in mind, G H Raisoni College of engineering and management (GHRCEM), Amravati was organized a tree plantation program on Monday 14th of May 2018 at college premises. Honorable Principal of GHRCEM, Amravati Dr. Vijay Rathod was guided and motivated for organized these type of activity. He said that tree and plants are the prime source of environmental purification and beautification. Trees inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen, reduce temperature and create a healthy effect, both physically and psychologically, on human beings, that’s why all the human being should be plant at least one plant in their life. On these occasion all the teaching and non-teaching staff as well as students were very enthusiastic and contributed by planting more than 3 saplings each. More than 300 saplings were planted.

Women Safety

NSS wing G H Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Amravati has been organized the street play on the 5 January 2018 on “Women Safety” in the association with Maharashtra State Police and Traffic Departments. The students performed this street play in the various areas of city. In that play they created awareness among the people. For this program Dr. Vijay Rathod, Principal, Prof. Nitin Mandaogade Vice-Principal, Mr.Arvind Thosare, Police Inspector, Mrs. Neelima Araj, Police Constable, Commandos and large numbers of people were present. Dr. Vijay Rathod appreciated and congratulated to the students for their efforts to create link between police and people and also for spreading awareness amongst people about Women Safety. NSS program officer Prof. Vikas Thakur, Prof. Pradeep Kotak and NSS students had taken keen efforts to make this event successful.
