Exam Pattern | IIFT 2024
The IIFT Exam Pattern includes three components: the Creative Ability Test (CAT), the General Ability Test (GAT), and the Situational Test (ST). Applicants applying for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program will need to take both the CAT and GAT exams, which will be held in an offline format. Applicants who pass these exams will then be eligible to take the ST exam. On the other hand, those applying for the Bachelor of Technology program will only need to take the GAT exam.
The CAT exam will assess the candidate's skills in sketching, observation, design, and innovation. The GAT exam, on the other hand, will test the candidate's knowledge in various areas including quantitative aptitude, communication, English comprehension, analytical ability, general knowledge, and current affairs. Both exams will have a total of 100 marks and a time duration of 2 hours.
Lastly, the Situational Test will evaluate the candidate's ability to handle materials and their innovative thinking in various situations. The exam will have a total of 100 marks and a time duration of 3 hours.
